Established in the summer of 2019 in the heart of beautiful downtown Stroudsburg, the name Clear Mountain Wellness was largely inspired by any of the hundreds of the peaceful and magnificent views of the mountains along the Delaware river, as well as inspiration from a Buddhist friend.
Kate, the owner and founder, is a licensed massage therapist, a certified lymphedema therapist (135 hours, The Norton School), a CPR instructor, a certified emergency medical technician, and a regular volunteer in her community. She holds a Masters in Education, has traveled the world, and has taught English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL.) Kate was inspired to pursue lymphatic work after watching a dear friend’s continuous battle with lymphedema and wanting to help that friend have a better quality of life. Veronika is a Licensed Massage Therapist and a certified Cranial Sacral practitioner. She is on a continual pursuit to learn new modalities and to bring therapeutic treatments to the Pocono area. We are glad to have her as part of the Clear Mountain Wellness Family!
María Verde L.Ac, LMT is a bilingual acupuncturist (fluent in English/Spanish) licensed in Pennsylvania, also, a licensed massage therapist and internationally trained holistic wellness advocate practicing in the Poconos. During the pastthirteen years, she has been committed to learning ways to integrate physical, mental, emotional, and the spiritual aspects of healing. She has taken several certifications including Hypnotherapy, Yoga, Meditation, Nutritional Health Coaching, Reiki, Integrative Energy Therapy, and Sound Therapy.
Maria offers treatments for pain management, women’s health, myofascial (sports) therapy, cosmetic acupuncture therapy, and micro needling. Maria relies on years of experience to solve chronic problems and improve overall well-beingby using a myriad of techniques like cupping, moxibustion, electro-stimulation, essential oils, magnet therapy, breath work, etc. to meet the individual needs of her patients. She realizes that there is no “one size fits all” treatment plan and takes her time with patients to treat their condition and prevent it from returning.
Maria enjoys training overseas while visiting family in Peru, making her continued education fun, and often training alongside Physical therapists, Chiropractors, Massage Therapists and Energy Workers. Maria enjoys making jewelry, using gemstones to promote healing and the process of creation as a meditation. She is passionate about learning new ways to promote healing and is currently taking her Herbal certification training and doctoral studies at the Won Institute of Graduate Studies in Warminster, PA.
Maria believes that prevention is better than the cure and enjoys educating patients with lifestyle modifications and using food as medicine to overcome dis-ease. Maria understands that the path of health and wellness is a life-long journey that could take many paths, requires commitment, and she is happy to lend a hand.
